If you haven’t heard the news already, DMU have recently introduced MyGateway, a new online employability portal for students, graduates and employers. MyGateway is a ‘one-stop-shop’ offering access to online career planning, job hunting facilities and events.
We have integrated some of the functions of MyGateway into our processes making it easier for you to gain advice about self-employment, book a place at our sessions and enter our competitions.
One of the biggest changes we’ve made is to our start-up surgery. Formerly ran as a drop in service, from the week commencing the 6th October, we are introducing the start-up surgery with 6 x 20 minute bookable appointments every Tuesday and Thursday between 2-4pm in Student Gateway. As you can see nothing else has changed to the service apart from being able to book a specific slot with an advisor to discuss your business idea and how to take it forward!
This change will allow us to prepare for your enquiry before the appointment and enables you to choose what time you would like to speak to an advisor. Booking an appointment with an advisor at the Business Start-up Surgery couldn’t be easier! It is literally just a couple of clicks on MyGateway.
CEO Start-up Sessions
Our Start-up Sessions which focus on the hot topics of starting a business will kick start again in October and you will now be able to book your space online rather than emailing us. The new online booking feature will save you loads time and allow you to manage your bookings with ease.
Ask us a question!
Got a burning question about starting a business and how CEO can help you develop your ideas? Send us your enquiry through the new “Ask a Question” feature on MyGateway. Your enquiry will be sent to the relevant advisor who will answer your question as soon as possible.
MyGateway has many more features to help you build employability skills and plan your career while studying at DMU and beyond graduation. Rather than us telling you all about it, why not check it out for yourself!
