Setting up your own business or become self-employed is not your average 9-5 job. Sometimes there might not seem enough hours in the day to complete the tasks you need to do in order to keep your business ticking over.
That’s why we’ve selected our favourite 3 online tools which will make your life easier and simpler. (Don’t worry you can thank us later).
So, social media has been playing a big part in business for quite a while and if you’re on your lonesome, finding the time to update your Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn… (the list is endless) can be rather difficult.
When you compare a social media update to managing invoices and attending important meetings, it just might not be a priority when it comes to the day-to-day running of your business.
However, have no fear as we present to you, Hootsuite! Hootsuite is a free management dashboard which allows you to schedule updates far into the future across several different social media platforms! Just link you accounts up to the scheduler, write your update and choose when you would like to be published. Simples!
Ever forgot to email a document or left your memory stick at home?
Dropbox is an online tool which allows you to upload your documents, photos and videos with ease and access them again from any device, anywhere. The free basic account offers simple file sharing, safe and reliable back up and also comes with 2 GB of storage space.
Not only would it save you time with the free desktop download bjut it also makes sure your files are accessible from anywhere! Bye bye memory stick!
We’ve saved the best until last; this is our favourite one of the bunch!
If you’re already signed up to our monthly newsletter you’ll know that we use this tool to create our newsletters. After ages of trying to create a professional looking template (this also included a lot of faffing) we finally came across MailChimp! Tada!
If you want to update you customers or clients on the latest products and news from your business than look no further than this little beauty. Of course, with every online tool there’s different payment plans but the free version should do exactly what you want it to do comfortably.
With its Entrepreneur version being completely free, you’ll be able to send up to 12,000 emails to 2,000 subscribers. If design isn’t your forte, pick a pre designed template and get started! What’s even better is, all of the templates are mobile optimised so they’ll look great on mobile devices and you can track your opens and what your subscribers clicked!
We were getting a bit too excited about those online gems. We hope you find them relevant and are able to make use of them during your day-to-day activity!
