Enterprise education went beyond students and graduates yesterday as DMU welcomed 19 Leicester Tigers players onto campus to learn about starting a business and being their own boss. Players among the group included Jordan Crane, Fraser Balmain and England star Manu Tuilagi.
The ‘Be Your Own Boss’ sessions are being ran by the Rugby Players Association and hosted by Stuart Hartley, Founder and Managing Director of Incrementa which supports businesses to innovate grow and develop. The pilot scheme is being offered to rugby players as part of their off pitch development, helping them prepare for self-employment opportunities.
Stuart is also an external business consultant for De Montfort University’s Enterprise Team, delivering the majority of this year’s start-up sessions and providing advice to students and graduates at Thursday’s start-up surgery.
If you would like to discuss your business idea with Stuart then book a 20 minute appointment at the start-up surgery through MyGateway.
