We launched into the festive spirit last week as we celebrated the success of enterprising DMU students, graduates and staff members by hosting a Christmas Fair. We invited over 20 stallholders to showcase and sell their products at the festive event which took place on campus in the brand new co-working space at the Innovation Centre.
Obviously, it wouldn’t be a true Christmas Fair without all of the trimmings! The tinsel, fairy lights, music and a real Christmas tree really added to the festive atmosphere which floated around the room! The only thing missing was Santa, but we understand he couldn’t make it due to being so busy this time of year!
Christmas cards, jewellery, handmade ceramic vessels, glassware, festive hampers and clothing and accessories were just a handful of products on offer. With such a beautiful range of unique and handmade gifts, we really weren’t surprised when a considerable amount of visitors came through the door at 12pm when the fair officially opened. We saw hundreds of visitors come through the doors during the 2 hour event all looking for that missing item on their Christmas shopping list.
Every stall looked professional and well thought through in terms of branding and the presentation of their products. You can find out more about how to prepare for a fair by reading our Failing to Plan is Planning to Fail post.
Thank you to each stallholder and visitor that attended and supported the event!
If you missed our Christmas Fair this year, don’t worry as it’ll be back for 2015!
